Hair Care Routine | 2014

Current Hair Care Products | 2014

I thought I would share my current hair care routine! My hair is very curly which means it can get a little frizzy and quite dry on the ends *sigh* so I really need to take care of it to help it grow. I've been trying to grow my hair out for months and once I stuck to this routine I've finally started to notice a difference!

First up I wash my hair with shampoo, not necessarily a certain one, I like to mix it up from time to time! Then I use my Herbal Essence Split End Protection Intensive Mask (£3.99). I apply this all over my hair from root to tip then leave it in for around ten minutes. I do this around once or twice a week and it leaves my hair so silky and smooth and it smells gorgeous!

After washing my hair if I'm blow drying my hair I use heat protection called This One Is For When The Heat Is On (£3.49).  This is part of a collection that range from heat protection to shampoo and they all start with 'This One' with what it's for (you get the jist). I like this protector because it's cheap but works well, it's light with a fresh smell.

Then  I use John Frieda Full Repair Oil Elixer (£.9.99) I apply a few pumps of the oil into my hair and then apply to the tips of my hair. It literally leaves the ends so soft and I swear my hair drinks it up! It gets rid of any dry ends and also has a lovely smell. I do this around three times a week and it's working well so far.

So that's my hair care routine and its pretty good to my bank (joys of being a student). What is your hair care routine?

Have a great day!

My Top 5 Summer Nails

It's FINALLY starting to get hot in the UK! So I thought I'd write about my 5 favourite nail colours to wear in the summer.

First of I chose Nicole by OPI 'Still into Pink'. This pink is so bright and dries a little bit matte, it also dries in literally a minute to is good to use when in a rush.

Next I chose OPI 'I just can't copa-cabana'. This yellow is perfect, it's so bright and the formula is so good. Only need two top coats as it's so thick and opaque.

I chose OPI 'A roll in the hague' next, this is a subtle orange. I'm not too keen on the neon orange colour on nails but this is lovely for summer.

I chose a Barry M Gelly Hi-shine polish next in 'Lychee'. It's a typical nude coloured polish but its thick and doesn't require too many coats, I love this polish when I'm tanned, it really stands out.

Lastly I chose Barry M 'Blueberry', this colour is amazing it is so bright and beautiful! It's a definite must have for the summer.

That's my top favourite colours to wear in the summer, what colours do you enjoy wearing in the summer?
This is my nail varnish collection so far:

Enjoy your day!

May Favourites | 2014

Products Mentioned:
Bourjois Shine Edition in '26'
Elf Eyebrow Kit in 'Light'
Mac Cremeblend Blush In 'So sweet, So easy'
Urban Decay Naked Palette
Maybelline 24hr Color Tattoo in 'On and On Bronze'

BOURJOIS SHINE EDITION IN '26' (£7.99)
This lipstick is a lovely nude shade, a your lip but better kind of lipstick but with a subtle hint of shimmer. I love to pair this with a smokey brown eye look and this lipstick would be great for someone who doesn't want to wear lipstick that's too bold. It's moisturizing and is easy to apply without a mirror so handy for when going out for the night.

ELF EYEBROW KIT IN 'LIGHT' (£3.95)
I saw some good reviews about the eyebrow kit and thought I would give it a go and I love it! The brush that comes with it is perfect for applying the product and can help shape eyebrows perfectly without it being too much. It comes with a setting powder also to finish your eyebrows with and the case also has a little mirror inside which is handy!

MAC CREMEBLEND BLUSH IN 'SO SWEET, SO EASY' (£18)
This blush has been on my wishlist of a while and I'm so glad I decided to try it out. It is a subtle shade a pink, not too bright so is perfect for a every day look to keep you looking glowing. The formula is light to apply and isn't too cakey. Overall a good blush to have in your collection!

URBAN DECAY NAKED PALETTE (£37)
Debenhams were doing a 10% discount on all cosmetics so I decided to finally purchase an urban decay eye shadow palette. I originally wanted to buy the naked 2 palette but changed my mind as I thought the naked palette had more day looks and a few night looks. I LOVE this palette! It is amazing. There is so much choice from subtle pinks to smokey browns, the products stay on all day and is so worth the money.

MAYBELLINE 24HR COLOR TATTOO IN 'ON AND ON BRONZE'(£4.99)
This eye shadow really does last all day without creasing! It's perfect for a base under other eye shadows or can even be worn alone. I like to wear this on days where I don't have much time to get ready as it is really quick to apply but still looks lovely!

That's my favourite's for this month! What were your favourites? Have you tried any of the Urban Decay Palettes?
